SM built Karina Statue?
During EBS character Pengsoo’s content, Pengsoo visited SM Entertainment building and had a tour around the office. While Pengsoo was walking around the building, there was a some large statue in the hallway.
It was a Karina statue, made by Kitakawa Hiroto in 2023. The statue was an art piece that expressed sharp multifaceted of Karina’s impressive performance by a futuristic design.
Until then, no one knew there was a statue of Karina was existing. People were shocked that Karina had her statue at her agency.
The Behind story of the Statue
After the content of Pengsoo was released, Karina talked about her statue via her Bubble. She even shared a behind story of the statue. When aespa first saw the statue, Karina thought it was a statue of Giselle, but at the bottom it had Karina’s name on it.

- Few days later it appeared, I saw the statue with Aeri (Giselle), and I told Aeri
- Ya, it’s you. (ya = hey)
- but at the bottom, ‘Karina’ was written there.
