Idol group SHINee’s members, Key and Minho have renewed their contracts with SM Entertainment.
SM said on the 9th, “Two members will continue to engage in various activities with SM’s full support by signing a contract based on their deep trust with SM that they have built up for a long time.”

Key and Minho said, “SM has been a place where we have been together for every moment from the beginning of SHINee to the present,” adding, “We think we are at where we are now, because of the company staff who have been working together for a long time.” They added, “We want to create a new and diverse starting point as an artist by creating good synergy with SM in the future. We also sincerely thank our fans for always trusting and supporting us, and we will always show you a good side.”
SM said, “We are happy to continue our precious relationship with Minho and Key,” adding, “As we have renewed our contract based on our thick faith, we will generously support two members in various ways to shine more as a solo artist as well as a SHINee member.”
SHINee, the group that celebrates its 16th anniversary this year, successfully wrapped up its Asia tour after a solo concert in Hong Kong in March, proving its powerful “SHINee Power” and strong global popularity.
Key is presenting music and performance with a unique and conceptual identity. In addition to building a wider range of activities such as entertainment, MC, fashion, and advertising to suit the “all-round cheat key,” it is also recognized for its trendy charm.
As an actor, Minho has demonstrated his solid acting skills across genres and his ever-changing character digestibility through various works, and has been active in all directions with perfect visuals, physicality, and unique wit and sense. He is also active as a solo artist, including the release of his first mini-album with his own sensibility and holding a fan concert.
Meanwhile, Taemin headed to Big Planet Made Entertainment, and Onew signed an exclusive contract with the new agency Griffin Entertainment.
