At CJ ENM building on January 24th, a production presentation of Mnet “Build Up: Vocal Boy Group Survival” was held. Producer and MC Lee Da Hee, with judges Lee Seok-hoon, Baekho, Seo Eunkwang, Solar, Wendy, and Kim Jae-hwan attended the production presentation to talk about the program.
“Build Up” is a new concept vocal boy group birth survival that combines talented solo artist. The solo contestants are confident in genre-related vocals and they will be formed into a four-member vocal boy group.
In particular, Kim Jae Hwan, who joined ‘Build Up’ as a judge, said, “I remember my first attendance as a trainee in Produce 101uniform at this place. But now, as a judge, I am so honored to be able to stand alongside Lee Seok-hoon. I will be humble but objectively give advices to contestants.” (Lee Seok Hoon was mentor of Produce 101 series)
In 2017 he was just an individual trainee who didn’t have any agency. But now he is the one who judges and helps the contestants. Same channel, but different position, it shows how much he improved and how he proved himself.
Kim Jae Hwan Started as the Special Judge
Kim Jae Hwan said he originally appeared on ‘Build Up’ as a special judge but became a regular judge. “At first, I appeared on “Build Up” as a special judge. Thankfully, the program kept calling me afterwards. I am always grateful and working on the shooting,” he said.
Meanwhile, Mnet TV program ‘Build Up’ will premiere at 10 p.m. on the 26th.
