Kim Soohyun’s Agency Denies New Allegations: “Kim Saeron Informant Is a Con Artist; AI-Based Crimes Must Be Punished”
Actor Kim Soo-hyun’s agency has issued a firm rebuttal to claims made in a new press conference by the late Kim Sae-ron’s family and controversial YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute (Gaseyeon), labeling the allegations as fabricated and manipulated through artificial intelligence.
Gold Medalist: “The Recording Was Fake and AI-Generated”
On May 7, law firm LKB & Partners released an official statement on behalf of Kim Soo-hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, stating: “The claims made in today’s press conference are completely unconvincing and unfounded.”
They added that Gaseyeon had claimed to possess audio recordings involving Kim Sae-ron, but those recordings were determined to be entirely falsified. “Gold Medalist believes the files were likely created using AI-generated voice manipulation,” the agency said.
According to the statement, the individual who submitted the recording also previously contacted Gold Medalist, claiming to possess a favorable recording of Kim Sae-ron mentioning Kim Soo-hyun. The agency described the person as a “fraud” who demanded payment and provided audio samples that they claim were artificially altered.
Agency Calls Press Conference “Cyber Terror Using AI Fabrication”
Gold Medalist emphasized that they refused all offers and believe the whistleblower had no actual ties to Kim Sae-ron. After the attempt to extort the agency failed, the person allegedly teamed up with Gaseyeon to release the manipulated audio.
The agency also responded to allegations that the whistleblower had been physically assaulted under orders from someone affiliated with the company or their legal representative. “The injury photo shared during the press conference was actually a widely available image found through internet search,” the agency said.
“The entire event is another malicious attempt to destroy Kim Soo-hyun’s reputation through false claims, manipulated content, and AI-generated audio,” they concluded. “This is a serious criminal act, and we intend to pursue strong legal action.”
