Pentagon Reunion? or Disbandment?
Singer Kino talked about his honest thoughts about an activity as a group Pentagon.
Recently, Kino showed his music abilities as the solo artist by releasing the first EP. Kino’s first EP, “If this is love, I want a refund,” is an album that boldly and wittyly expresses various feelings of love that people feel in every process from anger after a breakup to the moment they meet new love. The title track, “Broke My Heart,” is an honest lyric that contains thoughts that anyone who has been betrayed by love would have thought of.
After his exclusive contract with Cube Entertainment expired, Kino founded NAKED, a one-man agency, in December last year. Pentagon, the group Kino worked for, ended up being separated as its exclusive contract expired. As the reporters asked him about the group, he answered very honestly.
“PENTAGON is not disbanded. However, to be honest, however, we do not have any specific plans. Even before the members’ contracts ended, we talked about it, working on solo projects and creating opportunities as a team. I am still thinking over and over about (PENTAGON’s) activities. The members of Pentagon are like family, so just recording music together is meaningful.”
Pentagon Kino expressed his affection for the Pentagon, but said he only played this album to the member Wooseok in advance.
“I played the song only to Woo Seok, and he commented on the song, ‘It’s really like you.’ I usually play it to other members whenever I write a song. But this time, I wanted how the public would see it,” he said. “I think there is a big difference between promotions and contents. Members are more honest than anyone else. They are the people who say it’s not good if it’s not good. So I was curious about their reactions.”
Meanwhile, Kino’s first EP, “If this is love, I want a refund,” released on the 2nd, can be heard on various music sites. There aren’t any plans for Pentagon reunion, but previously they released celebration song for their anniversary. CLICK HERE.
