LE SSERAFIM CRAZY enters BILLBOARD 200!
Group LE SSERAFIM has set a new record for the fourth generation of K-pop girl groups in the Billboard 200.
According to an official article by Billboard, a U.S. music media, on the 8th (local time), LE SSERAFIM’s fourth mini album “CRAZY” (Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, and Hong Eunchae) entered the main album chart “Billboards 200” (September 14) in seventh place. “CRAZY” recorded the team’s highest sales with 38,000 album sales and 9,000 SEA units (sales converted from the number of streams).
LE SSERAFIM proved its solid fandom in the U.S. on the chart, standing shoulder to shoulder with pop stars sweeping global charts such as Sabrina Carpenter, Post Malone, and Chapel Roan.
LE SSERAFIM became the first K-pop girl group to put three albums on Billboard 200’s Top 10 list in a row. They entered the chart for the first time in 2022, reaching No. 14 with their second mini album “ANTIFRAGILE.” Since then, their first full-length album “UNFORGIVEN” (No. 6), their third mini album “EASY” (No. 8), and their fourth mini album “CRAZY” (No. 7) have settled in the top 10 in succession.
LE SSERAFIM CRAZY, the title track of the same title as the album, is also doing well on the global charts. The song ranked 83rd with 3.36 million views on Spotify’s latest “Weekly Top Song America” (aggregate period from Aug. 30 to Sept. 5). It is Le Seraphim’s highest ranking and highest streaming record.
Spotify is a major platform that is reflected in Billboard’s “Hot 100” tally and is the world’s largest streaming channel. With its own best and highest performance here, much anticipation is also being paid to LE SSERAFIM’s performance on the Billboard song chart.
LE SSERAFIM will perform on the stage of the “2024 MTV Video Music Awards” (2024 MTV Video Music Awards, hereinafter referred to as “MTV VMA”) at UBS Arena in New York at 6:30 p.m. on the 11th (7:30 a.m. on the 12th in Korea). As the pre-show, which will be held before the main event of “MTV VMA,” is called the gateway to becoming a “global pop star,” it makes us realize Le Seraphim’s elevated global status.
