Lee Changsub 1991 Album Showcase has happened
Lee Changsub of the group BTOB mentioned the process of recovering his vocal cord health.
Lee Changsub said at a showcase for the release of his first full-length album ‘1991’ at Blue Square in Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the 2nd, “It was a challenge to make something that doesn’t work, but the process of making it work again was a bit hard.”
“I felt very frustrated that I was not able to return to my original voice even though I was getting better after receiving voice treatment. It is actually the first time I talked about how depressed I was to people around me. I was so stressed out,” he said honestly.
He also said, “I really like drinking so I thought it was my fault in the past. Since my vocal cord became a problem, I haven’t been drinking since then. I don’t even touch the bottles it on important days, except for company dinners.”
He also said, “It could be a scar of honor, or it could be because it’s a job that uses a lot of neck, but on the other hand, it was embarrassing. It was a time when I thought it was unprofessional to see how much I had not taken care of myself.”
Lee Changsub 1991, is an album that began with Lee Changsub’s desire to look back on the past and recognize himself a little more before announcing the beginning of a new place. It means that this album is a new beginning but it may be a process and that he continues to move on without stopping no matter what shape he has.
It contains a total of 12 songs including double title tracks “33” and “Old Town.” It will be released at 6 p.m. on Tuesday(today).
