Lee Mujin Fans’ Truck Protest Over YouTube View Count Reset, Agency Apologizes
Fans of singer Lee Mujin staged a truck protest at his agency’s headquarters on January 16, 2025, following the reset of YouTube view counts for his music. The protest was sparked by claims that the view counts were lost when the agency changed music distributors, particularly upsetting fans as his song “Episode” was nearing 100 million streams.
Agency’s Response to the Incident
Big Planet Made (BPM), Lee Mujin’s agency, issued an official statement explaining the situation:
- The view count reset occurred due to a change in content distribution partnerships, with YGP becoming the new distributor from January 1, 2025.
- During the transition, YouTube’s art track service policy led to the termination of existing art tracks and creation of new ones, resulting in view counts being reset to zero.
- The agency, along with YGP, attempted to resolve the issue with YouTube but was informed that restoring the original view counts was impossible due to internal policies.

Apology and Future Actions
BPM apologized for the oversight, stating:
“We deeply apologize for not thoroughly checking this issue in advance. This problem stems from inadequate preparation procedures by both our company and YGP.”
The agency promised to continuously monitor and address any remaining errors and potential future issues.
This incident highlights the challenges artists and agencies face in managing digital content across platforms, especially during transitions between distributors. It also demonstrates the passionate engagement of K-pop fans in supporting and advocating for their favorite artists.
