Wakeone not allowing promotion of L’officiel?
There was a good news for ZEROBASEONE Zhang Hao. He was selected as the main cover of L’Officiel China. L’ Official is one of the biggest fashion magazine in world. It is honor for an idol who debuted last year. It shows how much he is influential in China. However, fans can’t be happy with what happens after the news from the magazine.
Before the story, briefly we will go over status of Zhang Hao. Zhang Hao is under care of Wakeone after he won the first place of the audition, ‘BOYS PLANET.’ Him and his team, ZEROBASEONE, get managed by Wakeone. Even though Zhang Hao’s original agency is YueHua he is WAKEONE Zhang Hao for 2 years and 6 months. So to contact with Zhang Hao it should happen through Wakeone. So this time it would be co-work of L’Officiel and Wakeone.
Zhang Hao China Bar announced
Zhang Hao Bar posted a notice of stopping the pre-sale activity that the Bar was planning would be postpone for a bit. They added that L’Officiel had a request from agency, Wakeone, to just have a brief pre-sale. According to Chinese fans and more details, it seemed there were miscommunication between L’Officiel and Wakeone. While Zhang Hao fans just want to support the artist, there might be some obstacles.
L’Officiel and Wakeone?
L’Officiel, a famous Chinese magazine, selected Zhang Hao as a cover model for February and completed a photo shoot. After shooting, WakeOne did not read the promotional e-mail for several days, so the L’Officiel had to contact Hao China Bar to post the promotional post instead of Wakeone. However, WakeOne asked them to delete all the promotional posts, so the posts have been delete. Wakeone also requested that the promotional post should just to be held in a pop-up format (public post only for a certain period of time).
As only L’officiel and Zhang Hao Bar said, it seems that WAKEONE wants things to proceed the way they want without unilaterally receiving a call. There is no official story from WakeOne, so it might be misunderstanding of the situation by just listening to one side of the story. However, what is certain is that artist Zhang Hao’s chance as the cover model and the promotion could have a better way of promotion when the agency and the magazine fully communicated.
