Hello, this is SM Entertainment. We would like to inform you about the legal actions we are taking against malicious posts and comments related to our artist aespa.
We have been collecting evidence of malicious posts and comments about aespa through fan reports and our own monitoring. Based on this evidence, we have filed lawsuits for defamation, insult, and the distribution of false video content. The investigation is ongoing, and many of the suspects have been identified and are under investigation. Some have been referred to the prosecution and have received final court rulings.
Specifically, some individuals used Telegram to spread false videos, violating the Special Act on Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes, and have received fines as a result of a summary order.
