Min Hee Jin refute 2 different issue
CEO Min Hee-jin of Ador completely refuted the alleged plagiarism of Newjeans’ “Bubble Gum” and the alleged extortion of New Jeans members surrounding her. In particular, as CEO Min claimed in two positions that there was a lack of response from the parent company HYBE to all the suspicions surrounding Ador and New Jeans.
ABOUT DISPATCH Article
On the 23rd, Ador strongly denied allegations that CEO Min Hee Jin robbed members of New Jeans, who were trainees of Source Music, saying, “The contents of the article covered in the report are false facts reconstructed based on speculation, and we will take a strong legal action against it.”
“The contents of the report include internal minutes, division of work, and personal KakaoTalk contents that cannot be handled without the cooperation of HYBE and Source Music and the delivery of false information,” she said. “In particular, it is a violation of the contract and a severe felony to expose personal information of trainees who have already ended their contracts and artists who have moved their current affiliations to the public without permission and to leak various data that violate confidentiality, including related data and demonstrations, including medical details.”
Illegal Action of Source Music
In particular, Ador pointed out that the contract for trainees between Source Music and New Jeans members has already ended, and that the contract did not allow the use of the trainees’ portraits and voices. Therefore, Source Music’s release of the trainee video through the media is a very serious illegal act that violates the portrait rights of New Jeans members and asks for immediate action to protect the artist.
It also suggested that strong legal action will be taken against HYBE, the parent company, which provided information related to the subsidiary without consent, and the media that published it. “We criticize HYBE, who provided reports and materials that slander the CEO of the subsidiary by leaking illegally acquired messenger conversations between individuals without permission by a third party and falsely editing them as they intended, and the media that published them, beyond the pathetic nature of the report,” Ador said.

In order to prove that CEO Min was not on the sidelines, Ador also released the e-mail details written in 2021 containing the situation at the time. Ador countered that discussions on R&R and production timelines of each company were inevitably difficult because there were many differences over the concept in the progress of the N team project, which was a joint venture between CEO Min, Source Music, and Chairman Bang Sihyuk. They also added that CEO Min sent an e-mail in 2021 attached from the official position to CEO Park Jiwon of HYBE, but did not receive a related reply from HYBE at the time.
“The entire content of the article is based on false content, so the refutation is meaningless,” Ador said. “I would like to reiterate that the fabrication of the entire facts and timeline by distorting them is a serious defamation and obstruction of business for all of Ador, New Jeans, and Min Heejin.”

Bubble Gum Plagiarism Issue
Earlier in the day, Ador dismissed the suspicion of plagiarism surrounding New Jeans’ song “Bubble Gum” as unfounded in a detailed statement.
“New Jeans’ ‘Bubble Gum’ is a song with a different mood and flow from ‘Easier Said Than Done’ by Shakatak, which is controversial for plagiarism, starting from different bpm.” “The question of unauthorized use of the song is completely different from the truth, and it is believed that the melody development of a short word is similar,” said Ador. “However, it is hard to argue that the melody development was only used characteristically in ‘Easier Said Than Done.’ It is because it is a form of line that is commonly found in many popular songs regardless of genre, from the songs that were released before ‘Easier Said Than Done’ to today.”
They also criticized HYBE’s response to the alleged plagiarism. “There are a lot of exaggerated and biased reports that have not been confirmed or questioned as if Ador is suddenly responding abnormally while ignoring the progress so far,” Ador said. “HYBE has spread such information to various departments without Ador’s consent, even though it is a sensitive issue for labels, causing unnecessary expansion of the respondents to this case.”
“In this situation, Ador is doing its best to solve the problem with its own efforts,” ahe said, adding, “In fact, this is also being conducted by the legal department of Biz & Natives, which is in charge of the music of Ador and New Jeans, and the publisher of the composer, and we are making efforts to correct facts by monitoring articles through Ador’s own manpower.”
