Mnet ‘Build UP’ is set to launch
Mnet announced it will launch another audition program to form a boy group. This time, it will be aiming for the skilled vocalists. The program titled, ‘Build UP: Vocal Boy Group Survivor’, will form a boy group with unique voices and great vocal skills. According to Mnet through its press release, the group of contestants will take a series of competitions to improve its charms. It is not mentioned in details, but as it is a survival program, it seems audiences will be voting for next round survivors.
The contestants are expected to show their vocal abilities through out various vocal performances and tasks. Mnet has said, it will be unique, unlike anything that was previously seen from other vocal groups. According to Mnet, the channel, actor Lee Da Hee will be hosting the show, which is third time for her. She hosted Men’s girl group audition show, ‘Queendom’ in 2019, and boy group survival program, ‘Road to Kingdom’ in 2020.
Same Color but different Gender
‘Build UP:Vocal Boy Group Survival’ is planned to air in the first half of 2024, while JTBC is launching similar colored audition program. JTBC is launching, ‘Girls on Fire’, which is focusing on vocal skills, but to from a girl group. So it will be great period, that it will be pleasant for our ears.
Contestants of Build UP
As the program revealed it is launching on December 5th, not much contestants of the program has revealed. Actually, only one contestant made an announcement that it will appear in the show. Pentagon Yeoone released a press release that he will be participating in the show. His official position is a lead vocalist of the group, Pentagon. According to his fans, his voice is soft and pretty. His tone may not be very unique at first, however it has its own color for sure, when people listen closely.
