NCT DREAM Unveils 5th Full Album ‘Go Back To The Future’ with Youthful First Love Themes
NCT DREAM is set to deliver a heartfelt story of first love with their 5th full-length album Go Back To The Future, painting the summer with deep emotions and nostalgia. The album, releasing July 14, brings together acoustic melodies, retro vibes, and a signature youth narrative fans have come to love.
A Time-Traveling Soundtrack of First Love
The album includes ‘Bout You’, an acoustic pop ballad with a warm and emotional melody. The lyrics describe how the presence of a special someone gently seeps into the heart like a summer rain (“sonagi”), with soft guitar instrumentals that evoke the atmosphere of a coming-of-age film.
That Summer is a bright, easy-listening track that blends a New Jack Swing rhythm with innocent charm. Featuring a tape rewind sound effect, the song takes listeners back in time to revisit clumsy yet cherished memories of first love stirred up by the summer breeze.
Miss Me stands out with its retro mood, fusing 90s pop and R&B. The lyrics portray the final moments of a time-travel journey, where one must say goodbye to their first love and move toward the future. Soft electric piano tones envelop the bittersweet farewell, capturing the emotion of watching the dawn stars together and hoping to reunite someday.
Double Title Tracks and a Deeper “First Love Series”
NCT DREAM’s 5th full-length album Go Back To The Future features 9 tracks, including the double title songs BTTF (Back To The Future) and CHILLER. The project builds on the group’s time-travel concept and continues their signature “First Love Series,” now with deeper emotion and maturity.
The new album explores themes of youth, love, growth, and nostalgia—solidifying NCT DREAM’s place as a storytelling powerhouse in K-pop.
