NCT JAEHYUN enlisted today, to military band!
The group NCT Jaehyun is joining the army.
Jaehyun will enter the Army Training Center on November 4 and receive basic military training before serving as a member of the Army Military Band. His scheduled discharge date is May 3, 2026.
The agency SM Entertainment said in September, “Jaehyun applied to an army military band and received a notice of acceptance from the Military Manpower Administration. He will join the army as an active member on November 4 and fulfill his military service obligations.”
There will be no official event. At the time of announcing his enlistment, the agency said, “We ask for your constant support and love until the day Jaehyun returns healthy after completing his military service.”
Since his debut in 2016, Jaehyun has been a member of NCT, NCT 127, NCT U, and NCT Dojaejung. He was active even right before joining the military. In August, he released his first album, J, and in October, he released his new single, Unconditional, and held his first solo fan-con, Mute.
Three days later, a day before joining the army, Jae-hyun revealed his short hair with the words, “Looking forward to the journey together, reminiscing about our memories together.”
He became the second member of the team, NCT to join the army. Earlier, leader Taeyong joined the Navy as an active duty officer in April and is serving as a culture and public relations officer for the Navy’s Army Music Command Battalion, Navy Headquarters.
