According to the music industry on the 24th, the members of New Jeans held a meeting with Kim Joo-young, CEO of Ador, with their parents on the afternoon of the 23rd. It is actually the first meeting in 12 days after the members of New Jeans announced their opinions on live broadcasts.
Earlier on the 11th, the members of New Jeans opened a channel “nwjins” on YouTube and held an emergency live broadcast under the title “What New Jeans Want to Say.” In the broadcast that lasted about 30 minutes, the five members of New Jeans talked about the unreasonable and unfair situations they experienced before and after the conflict with HYBE and former CEO Min Hee-jin.
In particular, member Hanni pointed out the unfair treatment she received from other artist managers at HYBE’s office building and the lukewarm attitude of CEO Kim Joo-young, and expressed concern, saying, “I don’t know how much similar things will happen in the future.”
In addition, the members of New Jeans pointed out the conflict between director Shin Woo-seok, who produced the New Jeans’ several music videos, and the new management, and said, “What we want is the original Ador, which is a combination of management and production represented by former CEO Min Hee-jin. Please make a wise decision to return Adore to its original state by the 25th (September).”
During the meeting, which took place two days before the day when the group asked HYBE to respond, the members reportedly conveyed to Kim Joo-young the demands that they had made in public through live broadcasts. In response, Kim Joo Young reportedly talked about the request based on Ador’s policy, which she had announced when she took office.
