New Jeans How Sweet?!
Girl group New Jeans showed their strong potential and solid position even in the management dispute of their agency by the physical album sales.
According to Hanteo Chart on Friday (May 24th), New Jeans’ double single “How Sweet” sold 811,843 copies on the day of its release alone, topping the daily music chart (as of May 24). If this trend continues, it will be easy for them to achieve their fourth million-selling album.
The group is also strong in the music source category. The group’s title song “How Sweet” ranked second on Melon’s Top 100 chart as of 11 a.m. on Saturday, (May 25th). The song ranked seventh in an hour after its release, and has been gradually stepping up its ranking. Their song track “Bubble Gum” also ranked second in Bugs, fifth in Melon, and 10th in Genie.
New Jeans How Sweet is showing its influence in the global market, too. “How Sweet” ranked high on iTunes’ Top Albums list in more than 20 countries/regions including Japan (4th), Australia (10th), the U.S. (11th) and Canada (20th) on Saturday. The title track “How Sweet” also entered the iTunes Top Songs chart in more than 25 countries/regions and the track “Bubble Sword” in more than 20 countries/regions.
