New Jeans Tokyo Dome Fan Meeting
The group New Jeans has occupied the Tokyo Dome in Japan. New Jeans covered front pages of domestic newspapers, which are selling like hot cakes, and hundreds of people line up at the “Supernatural” pop-up store.
According to the agency Ador on the 27th, local media such as Sponichi, Sports Hochi, Sankei Sports, Daily Sports, and Tokyo Junichi Sports produced a special edition, having New Jeans as the cover page.
The newspapers introduced New Jeans as “a five-member Korean group with global popularity” and “a group with high musicality and energetic and cool performance.” In addition, the fact that New Jeans entered the Tokyo Dome as a whole five days after their debut in Japan was the most important, shedding light on their hot popularity that they gained even before its debut.
Around the time the start of the “Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome” was imminent, some convenience stores reportedly saw fans turning their feet unfortunately because the New Jeans special edition newspapers ran out.
The New Jeans Tokyo Dome fan meeting drew great attention as it was the first time New Jeans met with large-scale fans since they released their Japanese debut single “Supernatural” on the 21st.
Despite the weekday event from the 26th to the 27th, the tickets for all the episodes were sold out early, and the number of requests to open additional seats was flooded, so the number of restricted sight seats were opened on the day of the performance. “The demand on number of seats restricted for viewing was also higher than expected, so a small number of seats were increased,” an Ador official said on the same day.
Accordingly, the area near Tokyo Dome was truly packed with people. Fans flocked to the venue to cheer for the team in their own way by using the official New Jeans merchants, including T-shirts, bags, key rings, fans, and light sticks. New Jeans’ songs continued to be played at nearby restaurants and stores.
The pop-up store in the middle of Shibuya was crowded. Line Friends Square Shibuya’s Super Natural Pop-up has been waiting for more than 600 people even before its opening, and lines have continued beyond Yoyogi Park.
The first day of the pop-up pre-visit reservation ended in five minutes, and the maximum number of visitors on the day ended in one hour after the pop-up opening. IPX (formerly Line Friends) said, “We were surprised that the fans’ response was much hotter than expected,” adding, “We are quickly preparing for pre-orders.”
Min Hee Jin appeared at the pop-up store and took pictures with New Jeans fans, answering to the enthusiastic love.
