NewJeans fans Bunnies welcomes the court’s May 30, 2024 citation decision on a provisional injunction against voting rights filed by Ador CEO Min Hee-jin against HYBE.

With this decision, we hope to end unnecessary disputes between Min Hee-jin, CEO of Ador, and HYBE, to maintain the current system of Ador, and to provide maximum support, including an emotionally stable environment, for the activities of New Jeans.

Under commercial law, the dismissal of a representative is possible based on the proportion of shareholders’ voting rights. However, this issue is considered to be a promise based on good faith, with managers and producers working together to grow another successful group of artists.

Now, it’s been two years since their debut, and New Jeans is growing with a lot of love. Ador recorded high sales of 110.2 billion won in the second year of New Jeans’ debut, and I think CEO Min Hee-jin is faithfully fulfilling his original responsibilities as the head of HYBE’s label. However, one of the reasons for the current situation is that CEO Min Hee Jin and New Jeans members did not receive emotional stability from HYBE. We urge HYBE to let CEO Min Hee Jin and New Jeans members can continue to grow with a sense of stability and solve internal problems without exposing them to the outside world.

The court judged that HYBE’s claims of dismissal or resignation have not been sufficiently explained by the arguments and data submitted so far. The loss of the opportunity for CEO Min Hee-jin to serve as a director of Ador for the rest of the year is considered to be a damage that is difficult to recover from post-mortem financial compensation. As a fan of music and New Jeans, we cannot just be frustrated and see the current New Jeans lose their beautiful light and letting their growth to be dampened.

HYBE’s attempt to vote on the dismissal of CEO Min Hee-jin at the Ador extraordinary shareholders’ meeting on May 31, 2024 and unreasonable attempt to lose CEO Min Hee-jin’s representation through a resolution of the board of directors after the board change cannot be tolerated as substantially undermining the court’s decision.

As fans who love and care about New Jeans, we will do whatever we can. We, Bunnies, are striving to protect, nurture, and enjoy differentiated and heartfelt values such as artists, planning, content, music, and videos, and we care and love New Jeans regardless of age or nationality. If we abuse our majority shareholder’s status and try to abandon our promises of good faith and abandon the artist and CEO Min Hee-jin who raised them, we will also fight back with our power.

New Jeans fandom Bunnies will continue to watch to see whether HYBE clearly understands the court’s decision and strives to provide necessary support instead of unnecessary disputes. I hope that New Jeans will move forward into the future, free from unnecessary conflicts.
