NewJeans ADOR Legal Dispute

On November 28, the group announced during a press conference that they were terminating their exclusive contract due to breaches of trust by the agency. ADOR responded by filing a lawsuit on December 5 to confirm the validity of the contract, claiming that it remains legally binding until 2029.
Adding to the controversy, allegations of workplace harassment against ADOR’s CEO Kim Joo-young have also surfaced. An individual referred to as Mr. A has accused Kim of illegal detainment and coercion related to company property. These claims have further fueled public scrutiny of ADOR’s management practices.
ADOR’s Response
In response to both the contract termination and harassment allegations, ADOR has denied any wrongdoing. The agency stated that NewJeans’ claims are based on subjective judgments and emphasized their efforts to support the group. ADOR also accused Mr. A of misconduct, alleging that they bypassed company protocols by directly contacting advertisers.
