The group NEXZ honestly confessed that it was burdened to have the group Stray Kids, which is gaining global popularity, as its senior.
NEXZ (Tomoya, Yu, Haru, So Geon, Seita, Hyui, and Yuki) held a showcase at Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul on the 20th to commemorate the release of their debut single “Ride the Vibe.”

“To be honest, it is true that there is a burden that we are the boy group after Stray Kids, the world-loved group, from JYP entertainment. We would like tp change the burden into responsibility and show you how hard we worked,” Yu said, drawing warmth.
Yuki said, “Stray Kids advised us after the final mission of Nizi Project Season 2 was over, ‘Let’s keep up the good work together. And let’s continue to be good colleagues.’ It was impressive because it was the first advice I received from seniors.”
Tomoya also mentioned NiziU, another senior group of the group. “We didn’t have chance to meet them at all, but I heard from the staff that the seniors sent messages. They were happy that we are debuting and hope the members would stick together.”
In addition, Yu said, “Producer Park Jin Young told us to work hard and not lose our initial commitment because our strength is our passion. We will show you how we keep that word well,” and expressed Park Jin-young’s support.
The debut song “Ride the Vibe” has its key point with various variations of sounds, and the waves of emotions that can be felt by the seven members for the first time, such as excitement, anxiety, and palpitations, sing, “Let’s ride on this Vibe with me as we are attracted.”
NEXZ is the first idol boy group in about six years since Stray Kids’ debut. NEXZ was created through Season 2 of “Nizi Project,” a joint audition program between JYP and Sony Music, Japan’s largest music label, which was aired last year.
