Omega X Hwichan Sexually Assault?
Spire Entertainment, the former agency of the group Omega X, has insisted on the forced harassment of a member.
A press conference was held at Sungam Art Hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 19th by Spire Entertainment, the former agency of Omega X. Omega X is a group of members including Jaehan, Hwichan, Sebin, Hangyeom, Taedong, XEN, Jehyun, KEVIN, Jeonghoon, Hyuk, and Yechan.
The Spire Entertainment called the reporters to resolve suspicions about the forced harassment case. At the scene, Spire Entertainment CEO Hwang Sung Woo and lawyer Kim Tae Woo (law firm Jeha) attended. Former CEO Kang, who is at the center of the case, was absent.
The incident was known to the world in 2022, revealing that the members of Omega X were threatened and verbally abused by CEO Kang, suggesting extreme choices as well as habitual sexual harassment. At that time, a video of CEO Kang’s violent behavior was released, causing public uproar.
Since then, CEO Kang has been admitted to assaulting and has been sent. The complaint related to obstruction of business was decided to be dismissed after the company withdrew the complaint due to an agreement on the main lawsuit for termination of the exclusive contract, but the investigation is underway on CEO Kang due to sexual harassment due to his business power, defamation due to the spread of false information, and obstruction of business. The main lawsuit related to the termination of the exclusive contract is also underway.
However, Spire Entertainment said, “The victim hesitated to file a criminal complaint and disclose the media because she did not want to make a young Omega X member a sex offender yet. But as time passed, she decided that she could no longer bury the truth at a time when the perpetrator’s lie went too far. That’s the reason why she restored the CCTV footage. She took courage to reveal the grievances that she was hiding.”
Omega X Hwichan was removing the top of director Kang Sung Hee in the footage, and she is claiming Omega X Hwichan is the sex offender.
