Kepler Kep1going On Showcase!
The group Kepler (Choi Yujin, Xiaoting, Mashiro, Kim Chae-hyun, Kim Da-yeon, Hikaru, Huening Bahiyyih, Seo Young-eun, and Kang Ye-seo) will release their first full-length album after successfully extending their contract for the first time as a group from a survival program.
On June 3, Kepler Kep1going On showcase was held at Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul to commemorate the release of Kepler’s first full-length album “Kep1going On.”
Comeback after 9 months
“Kep1going On,” which will be released on music sites at 6 p.m., is a new album that Kepler has introduced in about nine months since its fifth mini-album “Magic Hour,” which was released in September last year.
Hikaru said, “We’re making a comeback in nine months. We’ve been working hard to show you our growth as much as you waited for us for a long time. I hope you like us a lot.” Kang Ye-seo said, “I think we’re able to release this full-length album because the fans love and support us a lot. As much as we worked hard, we’ll show you many good performances.”
“We’ve worked hard to show fans various sides of us through this album, so please look forward to it,” Kim Dayeon said. “Thank you so much to the fans who waited for us for so long. We prepared hard thinking about our fans. We have a lot of songs to play for you, and we’ll work hard, so please look forward to it.”
“I’m very nervous and excited because it’s been nine months since we made our comeback. Please look forward to our album, which contains every precious song while talking with the members a lot,” Kim Chae-hyun said. “Since it’s our first full-length album, we prepared as carefully as we could with each song. We’ll show you good performances on stage.”
“I’m so nervous and excited to see how the fans will react. I want to make a comeback soon and make a good performance with the fans,” Seo Young-eun said, “We are back after 9 months. We’ll work hard to show you a great performance like the title track.”
Kim Da-yeon tried to make a rap lyrics for the first time since her debut with the title track “Shooting Star.” Mashiro participated in writing the lyrics of the track “Curious.”
Kim Da-yeon said, “I participated in the rap making of the second verse. I was excited because it was my first time, and I worked harder because it contained our story. I was grateful that member, Hikaru pulled it off well.”
Mashiro said, “It was an honor to be able to participate in the lyrics again. It was good because the lyrics fit Kepler’s major universe such as ‘Universe’ and ‘Curious’.”
Seo Young-eun said, “In general, I felt like I was making this album with the members. The opinions of the members were reflected more during the selection process, and I also participated in the lyrics. We tried our best to make this album with all our heart and soul.”
Not all 9 goes together
Above all, Kepler is the first project group to successfully renew its contract and continue its career as a project group to be created through Mnet’s audition program. However, Kang Ye-seo and Mashiro will not renew their contracts and will return to their agency, 143 Entertainment. For the two members, this album is the last one for Kepler. It will also be the last time for Kepler to perform as nine members.
Huening Bahiyyih said, “So we decided to prepare our first full-length album with a high level of completion. As much as you’ve been waiting for us, we’ll work hard to make good memories as the last full-length album of the nine members.” Xiaoting said, “I think we’ll meet our fans in many ways other than music shows and fan signings. We’ll try to meet as many fans as possible.”
Kepler Kep1going on last as the complete team
Kang Ye-seo and Mashiro, who will leave the team, also expressed their feelings. Kang said, “I had a great time as Kepler with the members, and there were times that I was bit not perfect. However, everyone did their best for the fans. Please look forward to our full-length album, which will be released by the nine members. I hope you know that we are always nine sisters.”
Mashiro said, “I have many good memories of being with members under the name of Kepler. I want to show fans good performances this time, too. I ask for your warm love and interest.”
In response, Kim Chae-hyun said, “We will continue with the mindset of nine members. We will continue to have a good relationship like sisters. I hope you will support all of the members. And rather than the last one of the nine members, I hope you will watch it more carefully as it is the first full-length album in Korea.” So they want it as Kepler kep1going on as not the last complete album, but the first full-length album.
In addition, Kepler will continue to display its global power with seven members. Choi Yu-jin said, “The nine of us have talked a lot about the future since last year. It was all the more precious because of the precious time that we have spent together for two years and five months since the audition program and the love that our fans gave us. That’s why I wanted to continue doing it under the name of Kepler. I’ll work hard to show you good performances in the future, so please keep an eye on me,” while Kim Chae-hyun hinted, “I think we’ll have a detailed schedule after the concert in Japan in July.”
