Park Bom Claims YG Ridiculed Her Looks and Exploited Her Work, Then Deletes the Post
Park Bom of 2NE1 has once again stirred attention after uploading and deleting a new message that appeared to criticize her former agency, YG Entertainment.
On October 23, Park Bom posted a screenshot of a memo on her Instagram with the caption, “I’m angry, but I just started because I’m too tired to care.”
In the post, she wrote that she had been mocked for her looks, claiming, “They said they made my face look like an idiot — just to make fun of me. When I think about it, YG never once paid for any of my surgeries. I paid for a few myself. In other words, I went on stage looking like an ordinary person.”
She continued, “Once, someone suddenly apologized to me on the stairs. When I asked why, they said it was because they used me as a topic when talking about plastic surgery. Thinking back, they never did anything for me. I went to dermatology clinics, but I paid for everything myself.”
Park Bom went on to allege further mistreatment, writing:
“Park Bom wrote all of YG’s songs,”
“They locked me up to make me write songs but never paid me,”
“Even if I sing my heart out, it’s never enough,”
“They never once let me shoot a magazine,” and
“I received 4,231 CF offers, but they gave them all to someone else.”
The post has since been deleted.
Previous Allegations and Agency Response
Just a day earlier, on October 22, Park Bom had publicly released a document alleging that YG’s executive producer Yang Hyun-suk failed to pay her profits from her work across music, broadcasts, advertisements, and songwriting — a total she cited as “64272e trillion won.”
The complaint stated her intent to charge Yang with fraud and embezzlement, claiming she had suffered “severe financial and psychological damage” and urging “a thorough investigation and strict punishment.”
Her agency D-Nation Entertainment later issued an official statement refuting her claims:
“All settlements related to Park Bom’s 2NE1 activities have already been completed. The complaint uploaded to social media was never actually filed.”
“Park Bom is currently suspending all activities to focus on treatment and recovery, and we will do our best to help her regain her health.”
Park Bom had been celebrating the 15th anniversary of 2NE1’s debut with a tour last year but has since halted all activities since August due to health concerns.
