Park Bom Deletes Lawsuit Post Against YG’s Yang Hyun-suk Over 2NE1 Earnings Prompts Agency Clarification
Park Bom of 2NE1 has taken down the Instagram post in which she claimed she would file a lawsuit against YG Entertainment’s executive producer Yang Hyun-suk for fraud and embezzlement.
On October 23, the singer deleted the so-called “Yang Hyun-suk Complaint” and later removed a picture of her pet dog wearing bright red lipstick. Her agency D-Nation Entertainment was quick to respond as the controversy spread, taking steps to contain the situation.
A day earlier, on October 22, Park Bom had publicly accused Yang Hyun-suk of withholding her earnings from 2NE1 activities, but D-Nation promptly refuted the allegations as groundless.
Agency Responds: Settlement Already Completed
In a formal statement released the following day, D-Nation clarified:
“The settlement regarding Park Bom’s 2NE1 activities has already been completed, and the complaint she uploaded on social media was never officially filed.”
The agency added that Park Bom “is currently suspending all activities to focus on treatment and recovery,” promising full support for her health and wellbeing.
In her deleted post, Park Bom had accused Yang Hyun-suk of failing to pay her rightful share of revenues from music releases, concerts, broadcasts, advertisements, and songwriting. She alleged that the unpaid amount was roughly described as “64272e trillion won,” calling for a thorough investigation and legal action against the YG executive.
She also claimed to possess related evidence such as contracts, settlement records, performance and advertising logs, message exchanges, and bank transactions, urging “strict punishment for the defendant’s illegal actions.” She later edited her caption to write, > “To the public and everyone online, please investigate exactly what YG has done to Park Bom. Thank you.”
Park Bom debuted in 2009 as a member of the K-pop group 2NE1 under YG Entertainment. Following the group’s disbandment in 2016, she continued her solo career under D-Nation. After reuniting for 2NE1’s 2024 Asia tour, she once again collaborated with YG but has been on hiatus since August due to health issues.
