PLAVE picked as No.1 Rookie
PLAVE, a virtual boy group, has been selected as a rookie idol to lead K-pop this year.
The vote, “2024! Who will lead K-pop?” was newly launched by Ilgan Sports and fanCast. The vote garnered 14,046 votes from fans around the world, not only in Korea. Also in the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom, the Philippines, and Indonesia. Among them, the first-place winner, PLAVE, received 9,302 votes, which is up to 66.23 percent of the vote. Following PLAVE, the 5th generation icon ZEROBASEONE came in second and Kiss of Life came in third.
As PLAVE picked as the winner, PLAVE earned the benefits. The benefits that he earned are, articles and advertisements on Ilgan Sports and, outdoor billboards and banner advertisements.
What is PLAVE?
PLAVE is a five-member virtual boy group from Blast Entertainment that debuted on March 12, 2023. PLAVE is a combination of “Play” and “Re ̂ve,” which means they are creating a new world to achieve their dreams.
They do have their own storyline. The members were living in the virtual world, Caelum. The members were given the ability by the developer of the earth and came to the mysterious middle system called the Asterum, and were able to communicate with Terra (Earth) through the cracks that exist in the Asterum. They released 4 albums, and promised to release one more mini album this year. Not just that, they are getting ready for their first pop-up store to celebrate 1st anniversary of debut.
