Police Investigation on Min Hee Jin lasted 8 hrs
The police investigation on Min Hee Jin was conducted despite CEO Min Hee-jin’s proposal for reconciliation.
Min Heejin, CEO of HYBE-affiliated label Ador, completed an eight-hour police investigation at Yongsan Police Station in Seoul on the 9th. It is the first summoning investigation after being accused of professional malpractice by HYBE.
After arriving at the police station at around 2 p.m., Min Hee Jin left the station at 10 p.m. “I told the police the truth. Today (the 9th) was not my original date, but I wanted to come fast, so I was investigated first,” Min Heejin said with a smile. “I feel so relieved because I told you the truth.”
Regarding the charges against the defendant, she completely denied, saying, “It’s like a comedy for me because it can’t be a breach of trust.” At the same time, she was cautious about whether to receive a complaint about HYBE’s additional legal action, including defamation, saying, “I don’t think I should talk about that.” Min Heejin accused for defamation, CLICK HERE.
HYBE’s position on the investigation
In this regard, HYBE has not expressed its position officially. As a result, attention is being paid to whether it will enter a second dispute as it is. HYBE previously filed a complaint against Representative Min Hee Jin and Deputy Representative A on April 25 on charges of professional breach of trust. Based on the messages shared by Representative Min Heejin and Deputy Representative A, he claimed that Representative Min attempted to take over management rights. In addition, he called for an extraordinary shareholders’ meeting to dismiss Representative Min Hee Jin.
However, the extraordinary shareholders’ meeting ended with Min Hee Jin’s retention without a dramatic change, as Min’s injunction against exercising voting rights was cited. Except for Min Hee Jin, Ador’s management was replaced by HYBE line, but on the day of the shareholders’ meeting, Min sent a “negotiation” gesture through a press conference, raising the possibility of the accompanying.
Regarding retaining her position as CEO, Min Hee Jin said, “I am relieved that I am innocent of being framed,” and asked HYBE to end the dispute, saying, “If you think about the direction that is advantageous for everyone in the long run, you have to endure it even if it hurts. Isn’t it right to think about the cause?”
In this regard, HYBE still did not respond much, but it can be assumed that the police investigation by Min could be an indirect answer. However, there are speculations that the dispute may naturally be over, depending on the results of the police investigation. This is because New Jeans recently took a step forward by successfully performing at Tokyo Dome in Japan, and fans at home and abroad also want the color of New Jeans, which was born from Min Hee Jin, to not change.
However, as HYBE did not make any official position about the controversy after June, everything is just the speculations.
Since Min Hee Jin’s decision to remain in office, HYBE has warned of legal “following-up measures.” Will HYBE and Min Hee Jin be able to work together? Attention is focusing on whether HYBE will show any position or not.
