Project 7 and Starlight Boys meeting at KGMA 2024
The 3rd generation representative audition program will compete at the “Korea Grand Music Awards,” a new popular music awards ceremony presented by ILGAN Sports.
According to the organizing committee of the Korea Grand Music Awards (KGMA) on the 14th, the two audition programs Project 7 and Starlight Boys are posting posters with the KGMA logo on social media after their appearance in “2024 KGMA” was confirmed and encouraging fans to cheer.
Project 7 posted a message on social media on a poster with the 2024 KGMA logo and the phrase “Training Special Stage,” saying, “World assemblers, please support the trainees who will be on the “2024 KGMA” stage this week.”
Starlight Boys also posted a poster with the 2024 KGMA logo and the words “Starlight Stage, Shining Dreams Starlight Stage, and Shining Dream.” “Guardians, boys are participating in the 2024 Korea Grand Music Awards on November 16. Please look forward to our special performance.”
“Project 7” has been ranked No. 1 in the K-pop category since its release on Japanese OTT platform Avema, which is being transmitted at the same time as JTBC in Korea. “Project 7” is gaining popularity as it is remarkable that it ranks first in the number of viewers among Korean contents broadcast in Avema in the second half of 2024 in just one or two episodes.
Starlight Boys is a joint global audition program between Korea and China presented by Studio Prism and global platform iQIYI. It boasts powerful global power, with more than 1.5 million viewers and views.
Each team is preparing for the performance under strict security from the preparation process, and the two teams will meet at the rehearsal stage for the first time on Friday night on July 15. Attention is focusing on what kind of rivalry war will take place on the same stage.
Meanwhile, the first “Korea Grand Music Awards” will be held at Inspire Arena on the 16th and 17th. “2024 KGMA” is hosted by Daily Sports (E-Daily M) and organized by the KGMA Organizing Committee. Han Dong-cheol, CEO of Funky Studio, who planned and directed “Show Me the Money” and “Produce 101,” as well as “MAMA,” was in charge of the general production.
