Red Velvet Debut 10th Anniversary Interview
Members of the group, Red Velvet expressed their feelings about the 10th anniversary of their debut.
Debuting with “Happiness” in August 2014, Red Velvet has created a new wave of K-pop with its unique concept and unique music color, and has released a number of hit songs including “Ice Cream Cake,” “Red Flavor,” “Peek-A-Boo,” “Psycho,” “Feel My Rhythm,” and “Chill Kill.” It has also been loved worldwide for its active performances in various fields, including group activities, as a unit and solo artist.
Red Velvet, which released “Cosmic” in June, is planning to be active until the fan song “Sweet Dreams,” which will be released at 6 p.m. on the 1st, and the fan concert tour in five Asia regions.
On the 1st, SM Entertainment, the agency, revealed questions and answers about Red Velvet’s 10th anniversary of its debut. Through this question and answer session, Red Velvet gave honest stories such as their feelings on the 10th anniversary of their debut, memorable moments, and the driving force behind their activities.

Q. How do you feel about celebrating Red Velvet debut 10th anniversary?
- Irene: I think I’ve been so immersed and busy that I can’t believe how 10 years has passed by like this. And I’m so grateful to the ReVeluv (fandom name) who have been supportive and supportive of me throughout the years.
- Seulgi: I couldn’t believe it’s been 10 years, but looking at the accumulated albums, I realized that I worked hard. I want to say thank you to all the staff, members, and ReVeluv who helped me release great albums over the past 10 years. And I hope I am an artist that you are always looking forward to whenever each album comes out. We’ll try our best to do that!
- Wendy: I can’t believe it’s the 10th anniversary, and I’m happy to celebrate it with ReVeluv and the members.
- Joy: Ten years feels like a short time, and these days, I think I’ve come to think of the past. I’ve felt many emotions and had many moments, but I’m going to try my best to have fun!
- YERI: I’m just so grateful. I’m so happy to be with you for a long time.
Q. You’ve made a lot of memories with your fans through various activities. What would be the most memorable activity or moment?
- Joy:There were so many moments. But I remember the overwhelming moment when they cheered for me on the debut day. I’m so grateful to the people who cheered for the 19-year-old who just debuted and supported at the beginning of the group Red Velvet, that I remember dancing, singing, and performing with all my might.
Q. If you could explain what Red Velvet means to the members in one word or one sentence?
- Irene: My everything.
- Seulgi: A precious diary in which the most brilliant moments of life are carefully recorded.
- Wendy: Family and friends and members that I can always be with.
- Joy: My family.
- Yeri: Moments that I would be proud of in the distant future of my life.
Q. Please say something to the fans who have been with us for the past 10 years.
- Irene: Thanks to ReVeluv who always supported Red Velvet, we were able to perform for 10 years. Thank you always and I’m so happy to have you!
- Seulgi: Thanks to ReVeluv’s warm words, the time when we cried and laughed goes by. I was able to perform healthy for 10 years because of your support. Thank you for making me feel happy. ReVeluv, I love you so much. ♥
