RIIZE named as BEST NEW ARTISTS
Group RIIZE named as BEST NEW ARTIST. They won a valuable trophy at a prestigious local awards ceremony even before its official debut in Japan.
RIIZE was selected as the “Best 3 New Artist” in Asia at the “38th Japan Gold Disc Award 2024” announced by the Japan Record Association on the 13th, and has established itself as a confident “top-tier rookie” who is popular overseas as well as in Korea.
RIIZE said, “Thanks to BRIIZE (official fan club name) and all the people who support us, we were able to receive this precious award because of you. We will continue to work hard to achieve our big dreams with our fans as we grow up. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
The “Japan Gold Disc Awards,” which began in 1987, is an award ceremony hosted by the Japan Record Association, which selects artists and works that have contributed to the development of the record industry throughout the year, and the winners and winners of each category are determined by objective indicators such as sales performance of albums and music videos released over the past year and streaming playback performance.
RIIZE gained explosive popularity in Japan beyond Korea at the same time as its debut with its first single “Get A Guitar” released in September 2023, and quickly attracted attention as a “rising star” of K-pop, topping the Oricon Daily Album Chart and Weekly Overseas Album Chart at the time.
RIIZE opened a Tokyo pop-up store in January this year to commemorate the release of the single “Love 119” and recorded all sales only by pre-booking, as well as appearing in NHK music broadcasts, Fuji TV morning broadcasts, and large music festival “GMO SONIC 2024”, receiving good responses. RIIZE named itself as the rookie.
Meanwhile, RIIZE will hold “2024 RIIZE FAN-CON TOUR ‘RIIZING DAY’, starting with a performance at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul from May 4 to 5, and visit nine regions around the world, including Seoul and Tokyo.
