RIIZE Seunghan, who temporarily suspended his activities due to controversy over his private life, will return. In a handwritten letter, Seunghan expressed his feelings about his return and apologized for the controversy.
On the 11th, RIIZE’s agency SM Entertainment announced its position, saying, “As fans know, it has been about 10 months since Seung-han suspended his team activities due to privacy issues before his debut.”
RIIZE Seunghan, who debuted as RIIZE in September last year, has since sparked controversy over his personal life as photos of street smoking and photos taken with a woman before his debut were leaked. As a result, Seunghan did not participate in RIIZE activities for about a year as he announced his intention to stop his activities in November last year.
On this day, SM said, “Seunghan will join the team and prepare for a certain period of time, and then participate in some of the team schedules planned for November sequentially.”
However, fans showed mixed reactions to Seung-han’s return. Controversy over his personal life has disappointed many fans since his debut, and some are already gotten used to the activities of six members of RIIZE.
On the same day, RIIZE Seunghan confessed his feelings in a handwritten letter. “First of all, I would like to express my sincere apology to the members and the fans. When the photos were released but I felt so disappointed and regretful for myself. I also can’t imagine how the members and fans around me would have felt,” Seunghan said. “I’m sorry to the fans who cheered for me from the beginning of this important period and to the people who were hurt by my immature behavior.”
Seunghan said, “I thought realistically about whether I could be on the stage again.” He said, “It must have been a difficult decision, but I’m just so grateful and sorry for giving me the opportunity. The members who held my hand once again, and the fans who are worried that the achievements I was building when I wasn’t there will be ruined. I know so much I have to show you to meet the expectations of the company for making such a difficult decision.”
Seung-han said, “I want to be a necessity that does not put a strain on the team called RIIZE,” and expressed his determination, “I will work harder and more responsibly in the future.”
With Seunghan returning to the team for the first time in about a year, there is a war of words among fans over his return.
