ROSE and Bruno Mars, The song APT
Rosé, a member of the group BLACKPINK, revealed a secret behind-the-scenes work on the new song while she had an interview with VOGUE Korea.
Rosé released her new single “APT” (apartment) and music video on October 18. It is one of the songs from ‘Rosié’ the first full-length album of Rosé. It is a pre-released song that will be included in the album that will be released on December 6.
Behind Story of ROSE APT
Rosé recently interviewed Vogue to celebrate the release of her new song. In an interview released on Vogue’s official website on Wednesday, Rosé explained, “It’s inspired by my favorite Korean liquor game called ‘Apartment’.”
She added, “I remember the moment when I was going home from the studio. I wondered if it was okay if I wrote a song about a drinking game.” After an internal conflict, Rosé asked the team members to remove the song from their phones. However, they were already addicted to Rosé’s new song “APT.” (ROSÉ & Bruno Mars).
Rosé and Bruno Mars participated in the new song’s work credit. Rosé said through her agency The Black Label, “Apartment games are my favorite games, which are simple, fun, and great for lifting the mood. One night, I taught the staff I was working with in the studio how to play the game and watched them enjoy it together, and Bruno Mars joined me to complete the song.”
Above all, the synergy of the duet with pop star Bruno Mars made the song even more special. Bruno Mars not only collaborated and sang together, but also appeared in a music video, drawing attention.
Rosé will release her first full-length album “Rosié” on December 6. The new album will include a total of 12 songs including the title track and Rose and Bruno Mars’ song APT. Rosé will participate in writing and composing all the songs in the album to tell her honest and intimate stories.

Rosé, who debuted as the main vocalist of Blackpink in 2016, has established herself as a representative K-pop artist by putting all her songs released with members Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo on top of major domestic and foreign music sites and holding large-scale tour performances around the world. In June this year, she signed a management contract with The Black Label, led by producer Teddy, and signed a label contract with Atlantic Records, a world-class record label, to pave the way for domestic and foreign activities.
Prior to the single’s release, Rosé made her official debut as a solo artist through her 2021 single “R.” The title song “On The Ground” topped Billboard’s global 200 chart and made a successful chart cut to the highest ranking of K-pop female artists on Billboard’s main single chart “HOT 100.”
