SBS wants to hide mistakes
SBS and Stray Kids. Stray Kids was on stage for 3 songs in 2023 SBS Gayo Daejeon on December 25, Christmas. They performed ‘Battle Ground,’ ‘ROCK,’ and ‘MegaVerse,’ especially it was officially first broadcast show to perform ‘Battle Ground.’ STAYs(fandom of Stray Kids) were excited to see Stray Kids’ performances. Stray Kids Felix even asked for the anticipation on stages, that they prepared a lot for SBS Gayo Daejeon.
However, it was not good as they imagined. None of it was the problem of Stray Kids. They were same as usual, perfect and enthusiastic about the stages. If we pick the reason of the mistake between SBS and Stray Kids, obviously it would be SBS. SBS made multiple mistakes but the biggest mistake was turning on the song ‘New Jeans’ of group ‘New Jeans’ while Stray Kids were performing ‘ROCK.’ When the audience realized what happened, they lost their words. The mistake was continued for 15 seconds.
Fans were mad at the mistake but they became furious as they saw how SBS reacts to the accident.
SBS and Stray Kids fans, Conflict?
It is normal that fans upload full video of on aired clips, so it can be shared to fans who could not see in time. Sometimes they do get banned by the broadcast channels, as it is violating copyrights. However, when they get banned mostly the broadcast channels upload the same part in their official channels, so fans can enjoy legally. This time, it seems SBS wants to erase Stray Kids’ stages from the memories. They erased all of fans’ on air clips and is not uploading the on air clip on the official account, too. SBS just uploaded the full cam version, which is hard to notice that they made the mistake. They are erasing the evidences that they mixed Stray Kids ‘Rock’ stage and New Jeans ‘New Jeans’ song. When a YouTube channel get erased due to copyrights, it get warned at first. However, when it gets multiple deletion the channel gets banned. SBS is warning them strictly, not to show their mistake to the world. Fans are getting furious that they can not enjoy their artists’ precious stage just because SBS ruined it for 15 seconds.
On the other hand, fan cams taken by fans at the site can not be erased easily, so SBS goal might not be succeed.
