Seungri in Hong Kong?
When local media reported that Bigbang Seungri (real name Lee Seung-hyun, 34), a former member of the group Big Bang, was preparing to open a club in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong government denied, saying, “There was no visa application from Seungri.” Earlier, Hong Kong media reported that Seungri bought a luxury house in Hong Kong and is planning to open a club.
Hong Kong’s South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported on the 24th that a Hong Kong government spokesman said, “I have never received a visa application from a former pop singer from Korea.” Spokesperson Lee said, “There has been no application for a visa for entertainment industry employment by the person (Seungri) mentioned earlier.”
“The relevant government departments will play a strong gatekeeping role when processing applications for talent work visas to ensure that only applications from eligible people are approved under the established procedures,” it said.
However, Korean citizens can stay in Hong Kong for up to 90 days without a visa, so cannot rule out the possibility of visiting or staying without a visa. Seungri in Hong Kong may be possible.
