S.Coups, the leader of SEVENTEEN, is facing criticism from Korean fans following comments made during the group’s recent concert in Japan.
During the performance, S.Coups reportedly expressed satisfaction about the absence of cameras at the venue. Korean fans interpreted the remark as dismissive, particularly given the long-standing tradition of fansite photographers and the significant costs associated with attending concerts.
The controversy gained even more attention after a tweet highlighting the incident went viral, surpassing 1.94 million views and receiving over 4,300 retweets and quotes as of April 29. Discussions also resurfaced around S.Coups’ exemption from South Korea’s mandatory military service due to a cruciate ligament injury.
As of now, PLEDIS Entertainment has not released an official statement regarding the situation.
