SKZ Changbin and Maroon5 Adam Levine, Unexpected combination
Stray Kids, one of the most active and influential K-pop idol group in the scene, was invited to LE GALA DES PIÈCES JAUNES. It is an event, leading international and French artists mobilize to raise funds and improve the living environment of children and adolescents in hospital and in need. This time, Stray Kids and Lisa were invited as K-pop artists. Stray Kids and Maroon5 were on backstage at the same time.
‘SKZ-Talker’ is a series of videos self-produced by ‘Div.1’ of JYP, showing how Stray Kids live behind the scenes. Mostly it is about the backstages. In addition, when they visit other countries for tours, or being invited to international events, the agency uploads video on series of ‘SKZ-Talker GO!’ On February 21st, ‘SKZ-TALKER GO! Season 4 Ep.04 LE GALA DES PIÈCES JAUNES’ was up. A short moment in this video grabbed fans’ attention.

So while Stray Kids were waiting for their turn to perform, the members were having free time. Changbin was sitting in his green room, and heard Adam Levine stretching his throat to sing on stage. Changbin just turned on ‘Sugar,’ which is a track of Maroon5 5th full-length album. He hummed the song without and expectation but he got a reply from Adam Levine. Adam Levine sang back for Changbin. Changbin was so impressed and he talked about how honor ‘Stray Kids and Maroon5’ could be on same stage. The members were excited and humble for being invited to such a huge stage, saying it is so honored to become an artist to be with Maroon5.
