SM knew TAEIL sex crimes in advance?
While the group NCT Taeil withdrew from the team due to sex crime issues, SM Entertainment said, “We first recognized the fact of the defendant in the middle of this month.”
SM Entertainment said on the 29th, “We and Taeil first recognized the fact of the defendant in the middle of this month,” adding, “Taeil was investigated by the police on the 28th.”
On the previous day, SM announced Taeil’s withdrawal from the team, saying, “We confirmed that Taeil was accused of a criminal case related to sex crimes. Recognizing that the issue was very serious, we decided that we could no longer continue our team activities.”
However, earlier in the day, Seoul’s Bangbae Police Station said it booked Taeil after receiving a report on Taeil sex crimes in June, and some pointed out that it was a “fan deception,” as Taeil has been active since June, including a fan meeting to celebrate the 8th anniversary of NCT 127’s debut held earlier this month.
SM denies once again, not fan deception?
In response, SM dismissed the controversy raised further, emphasizing that the time when the accused was recognized was recently.
Some suspected that the complaint against Taeil was a sex crime against same-sex minors, but according to the police, the complainant was reported to be a woman in her 20s.
SM bowed its head and said, “Taeil is sincerely engaged in the investigation. We will convey additional position depending on the progress of the investigation.”
After the news of Taeil sex crimes lawsuit was reported, a quick “wandering” continued. All NCT members unfollowed Taeil’s Instagram account immediately after SM’s official announcement and cut off his public relationship with Taeil.
Taeil debuted as NCT in 2016 and has been active as NCT127 and NCT U.
