Not the First: Similar Incident in June Involving a Chinese Woman
This marks the second trespassing incident at Jungkook’s home in recent months. On June 11, a Chinese woman in her 30s was caught attempting to access the front door of Jungkook’s home by repeatedly entering incorrect passcodes. She was arrested and later referred to prosecutors on August 27 without detention. She claimed to have traveled to Korea specifically to see Jungkook upon his military discharge.
Past Cybercrime Targeting Jungkook Also Resurfaces
During his military service, Jungkook was also targeted by a Chinese-led hacking group, which attempted to steal ₩8.4 billion KRW (~$6 million USD) worth of HYBE stock using illegally obtained personal information. Fortunately, emergency legal action prevented any actual loss. The ringleader, a Chinese national who was captured in Thailand, was extradited to South Korea and handed over to prosecutors on August 29.
