TWICE Sana Addresses Dating Rumors With G-Dragon: “I Was Itching to Say Something Too”
TWICE member Sana has spoken out about the incident that sparked dating rumors with G-Dragon.
Recounting the Incident on ‘Sana’s Fridge Interview’
In a recent YouTube episode of [Sana’s Fridge Interview] Untold Stories of Sana│EP.18 TWICE Sana, where she reflected on the end of Season 2, Sana recounted the events surrounding the rumor. The show is a web variety program hosted by Sana on YouTube.
Regarding the “dating rumor incident,” she shared, “That day was truly memorable. We gathered so suddenly. It was a lineup that would never have come together without Fridge Interview. I’m not sure if I should say this, but my account appeared on (G-Dragon’s) social media. The members knew he had filmed Fridge Interview. It was just a few days after the shoot, so I couldn’t say anything, and I was itching to talk about it. We waited and waited, and it finally came out a month later.”
How the Rumor Started
Back in April, G-Dragon posted footage of TWICE performing as special guests at Coldplay’s concert in Korea, tagging only Sana’s account. This led to speculation of a “Lovestagram” and subsequent dating rumors.
G-Dragon’s side remained silent until early June, when they clarified: “The tag was simply a friendly gesture after filming together. We didn’t clarify earlier because we thought it might spoil G-Dragon’s appearance on Fridge Interview.”
Behind the Joint Taping
G-Dragon’s appearance aired as a special co-hosted episode of Sana’s Fridge Interview, with Sana and Dex (the Season 1 host) interviewing him together. The trio—Sana, Dex, and G-Dragon—came together on short notice for this joint taping; it was not an appearance on a separate Dex program.
Meanwhile, TWICE is currently on their sixth world tour READY TO BE and recently became the first K-pop girl group to headline the major U.S. music festival Lollapalooza Chicago.
