TXT Yeonjun GGUM dominates charts!
TOMORROW X TOGETHER YEONJUN boasted of its global buzz with its first mixtape “GGUM.”
The mixtape “GGUM,” released by the Fed at 6 p.m. on the 19th, topped the iTunes “Top Song” chart in 32 countries/regions including Japan, Brazil, the Philippines and Russia by 9 a.m. on the 20th and settled in the top 10 in a total of 40 countries/regions. It ranked first and second in the “Worldwide iTunes Song” and “European iTunes Song” charts, respectively.
The music video for “GGUM” ranked No. 1 in YouTube Trending Worldwide and ranked on the list of YouTube’s soaring popularity videos in 28 countries/regions, including Chile (3rd), Austria (4th), and Germany (6th). It also charted in 37 countries/regions, including Korea (4th) and Japan (4th).
In addition, immediately after the release of “GGUM,” related hashtags ranked No. 1 in the real-time trend of X (formerly Twitter) Worldwide, ranked No. 1 in Indonesia, No. 2 in the U.S., No. 4 in Japan, and No. 8 in Korea.
In particular, Yeonjun stood out in the Japanese music market. After topping Line Music’s real-time music chart “Song Top 100” at midnight on Tuesday, Yeonjun maintained his ranking until 7 a.m. on top of that, the music video for “Boyfriend,” the original sound track of the Coupang Play series “Cinderella at 2 a.m.,” sung by Yeonjun, has also been on the rise thanks to the release of new songs. The video topped Line Music’s real-time “Music Video Top 100” chart from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Wednesday, but briefly gave up the top spot to a local singer, only to regain the top spot at 1 a.m. on Tuesday.
“GGUM” is a song that expresses confidence and ambition on stage by comparing it to gum, and Yeonjun participated in the overall song production, including the subject matter, lyrics, and performance composition and details.
Meanwhile, YEONJUN will perform his new song “GGUM” on KBS2’s “Music Bank,” which will air at 5:05 p.m. today (20th). Expectations are high on YEONJUN’s gum-like performance.
