TZUYU solo debut showcase overview
TWICE Tzuyu is back as a perfect soloist from the youngest of group TWICE.
A press conference commemorating the release of Tzuyu’s solo debut album “abouTZU” was held at Lotte Hotel Seoul in Sogong-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 5th.
Tzuyu said, “First of all, I thought I would do well by releasing my dream solo album, and I think I will have a bright and cute image as the youngest member of TWICE, and I tried to capture something I haven’t seen before through this album.” “I think people can see a mature and sexy atmosphere that I’ve never shown before,” she said. “I tried to express my various emotions (through this album), and I wanted to express what I’ve experienced since I was young.”
How members were supportive
When asked what kind of support she received from TWICE members, she said, “I received a lot of support from the members, Nayeon and Jihyo made their solo debut first, so I could ask questions while watching their activities,” and added, They gave opinions while monitoring with me, and other members came to me and told me to talk about anything difficult or needed help, so I felt reassured and grateful.”
Asked what she cared about for the live performance, she said, “I paid attention to the details and facial expressions because I had to fill the stage alone, not with the members for the first time. I thought it would be nice to see the full stage when I watched the music video, so I filmed it with 50 dancers.” “I wanted to show people a different twist, so I wanted to show more confident and intense eyes while preparing for the live performance,” he said.
Tzuyu said that she referred to singer Sunmi’s performance for her solo performance. “Sunmi’s performance was attractive and something I could see,” she said. “I thought I wanted to make my own stage. I wanted to see pretty and cool performances while watching the members’ solo performances.”
Meanwhile, Tzuyu is the third member of TWICE to make her solo debut after Nayeon and Jihyo. The solo album “AbouTZU” is a projection of Tzuyu’s “Everything,” and includes the title track “Run Away,” as well as “Heartbreak In Heaven.” Peniel of BTOB, Lazy Baby, “Feat. pH-1, Losing Sleep,” “One Love,” and “Fly,” which Tzuyu wrote on her own. It will be released on various music websites at 1 p.m. on June 6.
