Winner Mino from Winner Faces Rumors of Neglecting Duties as a Social Service Agent
Mino, a member of the popular boy group Winner, is currently facing allegations that he has been neglecting his responsibilities as a social service agent. According to a report from local media outlet Dispatch, Mino is accused of exploiting his connections at a community facility in Mapo District, western Seoul, where he is fulfilling his military service obligations.

Allegations and Public Backlash
The report claims that Mino has manipulated his attendance records, suggesting that he would sign in and then leave to smoke or disappear entirely during work hours. This has raised concerns about his commitment to his military duties and sparked public backlash. Following the allegations, Winner Mino’s social media has been flooded with criticism from fans and netizens alike, many expressing disappointment and questioning his integrity as a public figure.
However, YG Entertainment, Mino’s agency, has firmly denied these allegations. The agency stated, “Mino has been taking leave in accordance with regulations, particularly for medical treatment,” emphasizing that his leave was legitimate and properly documented.
In South Korea, all able-bodied young men are required to serve approximately one and a half years in the military. Those who receive a grade 4 on their physical evaluation can substitute their military service by working as social service agents at public institutions for 21 months. Mino began his military service on March 24 last year and is scheduled to be discharged on December 23.
The controversy comes just days before Mino’s expected discharge from military service, potentially impacting his reputation and future activities with Winner. Mino debuted as a rapper with Winner in 2014 and has gained fame through hit songs like “Empty” and “Really Really.” Despite the ongoing controversy regarding his military service duties, YG Entertainment insists that Mino has adhered to all necessary protocols during this time.
