What xikers Seeun wrote in his official ‘X’ (formerly called Twitter) is going viral in between Korean netizens. The original tweet was posted on February 4th, but because of its witty hashtag, it was being viral in Korea on February 7th. Seeun was following the tweet trend, writing the long hashtags about ‘Asian Cup,’ and soccer.
What Kind of Trend?
‘ASIAN CUP’ is a national soccer competition for Asia countries. This time it is being held in Qatar from January 12, 2024 to February 10, 2024. Koreans enjoy soccer and it is one of the national sports. So everyone was watching soccer games of the Asian Cup. One of the match was with Australia and it was a tough game, that it was hard to predict the result. To ease themselves people tweeted weird things with weird hashtags.
It was just hilarious. ‘Change Australian soccer players’ shoes into Hello Kitty Crocs.’ ‘Change Kim Minjae’s yellow card into Music Bank Q- card.’ ‘Change Kim Minjae’s yellow card to Australia’s kangaroo.’ and more. They were just random words and witty cute hashtags.
Kim Minjae is one of the star player in Korea, who is in team FC Bayern München. He got yellow card in the match with Australia. Due to accumulated yellow cards, he was not be able to appear in the next match, the semifinal. So people wanted to erase the yellow card. At this point, xikers Minjae popped up.
Seeun was making cute joke of xikers Minjae and soccer player, Kim Minjae. He made a hashtag saying ‘Transfer the yellow card of the national team Kim Minjae to xikers Kim Minjae for a while.’ It was a ridiculous but cute hashtag, and Seeun was following the trend of ‘X.’

Everyone was just laughing at how xikers Seeun was witty. People talked about xikers Minjae, and asked him to sacrifice. (just as joke) One of the most impressive comment and reaction was ‘If you shorten xikers it is soccer.’ In Korean, xikers is 싸이커스 and soccer is 싸커. So if we shorten it, it becomes soccer! Maybe it was destiny? So because of the funny wit that Seeun made about xikers Minjae made themselves to go viral.
