Singer Yong Junhyung explained again that he was not a member of the so-called “Jung Joonyoung Group Chat Room” for the first time in five years, but controversy remains.

On the 12th, Yong Junhyung said on his social media, “I was definitely stupid and wrong at that time. I didn’t want to cause damage to the company and its members because I was scared and didn’t want to hurt them because of me, so I couldn’t correct the wrong situation but chose to leave with the determination to lose everything.”

“I pressed the video sent with the black screen without any explanation on my personal messenger, and I didn’t know what it was or what it was intended until I pressed it to check,” he said. “I could have said, ‘Stop, this is wrong,’ but I wasn’t able to become a person who say that, and I just passed it lightly.”

NOT A GROUP CHAT

However, Yong Junhyung said he never entered any group chat room, adding, “I wasn’t involved in an incident that happened which I don’t even want to talk about. Over the years, the media and many people have thought and mentioned me countless times saying that I was one of the people in the case, that I was a member of the chat room and consumed illegal filming. I told several times that was not true, but I became the same person as them, the ones that I have nothing to do with it.”

Nevertheless, Yong Junhyung confessed that he turned a blind eye because he did not have the courage to bring up his past work again, adding, “I will endure and endure even if I get hurt and heartbroken. I sincerely ask for your support on the ones I love, including my family and people I love, and fans who are watching me, will not be hurt.”

Recently, a Burning Sun documentary produced by the BBC has been re-examined in five years. While criticism against the perpetrators is growing and some misunderstandings are being corrected, Yong Junhyung also opened his mouth again. He explained again that he saw Jung Joon-young’s video, and that he was wrong, but he was not a member of the group chat room. In 2019, Yong Jun-hyung admitted that he had received illegal videos and had inappropriate conversations, and left the group.
