YouTuber Sojang face was covered, but she was spotted
The YouTuber Sojang attended the trial. It is a charge of defamation of Kang Daniel. This is the first time she has been caught by the media.
The Criminal Chamber 18 (Judge Lee Jun-gu) of the Seoul Central District Court held a trial on Park, a YouTuber, on Thursday. Park’s charges are a violation of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilization and Information Protection. Park appeared in court wearing a pink shirt and a white skirt. She covered her face with a wig, glasses, and a mask. It was unable to see YouTuber Sojang real face. When asked about her job, she answered, “I am doing an online shopping mall.”
On June 15, 2022, Park uploaded videos of Kang Daniel on her channels. The titles are “People’s boyfriend on YouTube, promiscuous private lives of the idol,” and others. The prosecutor said, “Park made it for the purpose of slandering.” Park’s lawyer admitted to producing and posting the video. However, he denied that he intended to slander the video. “I did not upload the video to defame him. I thought it was true,” Park claimed.
The court asked again, “Didn’t you know it was false?” The lawyer said, “She couldn’t do fact check. The prosecution must prove the falsehood.”
