YouTuber Sojang Fined for defaming Kang Daniel!
Prosecutors have sought a fine, with YouTuber Sojang, who is accused of defaming Kang Daniel.
Prosecutors demanded a fine of 3 million won for Mr. A, who ran a YouTube channel “Taldeok Camp,” at a hearing by Judge Lee Joon-gu of the Seoul Central District Court on the 12th.
In response, Mr. A said in her final statement, “I was immature and short-thinking at the time,” and added, “I am sorry that I hurt the victims with my short thoughts. I will serve to be of any help and try to be of help to society.”
Earlier in 2022, YouTuber Sojang uploaded a video on the subject of Kang Daniel’s promiscuous personal life. A was accused of defamation by posting a video for the purpose of slandering Kang Daniel.
Since 2021, A has become famous by posting videos that slander famous people such as Jang Wonyoung. The atrocities continued until last year, and she also purchased real estate with YouTube profits from the process.
In response, the YouTuber Sojang was indicted on charges of defamation by posting 23 videos criticizing Jang Won-young and seven other celebrities.
Mr. A’s identity was revealed through the efforts of Jang Won-young’s agency Starship Entertainment, which she persistently tracked, and Jang Won-young is also on trial after filing a lawsuit for damages against her.
A was sued by Kang Daniel for defamation following Jang Won-young. In May, she was indicted without detention on charges of defamation and insults under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilization and Information Protection.
Mr. A appeared at the trial and caused public outrage. As a fine was demanded by Mr. A, attention is being paid to the result.
Meanwhile, A’s first sentencing will be held at 2 p.m. on September 11.
