Funky Studio said on the 29th that it will take strong legal action against Yu Junwon, who violated his contract and is preparing for a hidden fan meeting. Yu Junwon was previously selected as the debut group of the Fantasy Boys by winning first place in MBC’s “Boy Fantasy,” but he was in conflict due to contract, revision of the profit distribution rate and an unauthorized departure from the team. However, Yu Junwon is preparing for his own fan meeting and is promoting it. Yu Junwon fan meeting will be placed in Japan. Funky Studio said, “We will also find out the producer of Yu Junwon’s fan meeting and demand a respond to it,” adding, “We will request for proof of content and send provisional injunction to the producer and producing agency.” The company strongly criticized the move, saying, “He has no conscience to Fantasy Boys on every move made by him.”
Kim Kwang Soo, CEO of PocketDol Studio, the agency of Fantasy Boys, said earlier, “If Yu Junwon returns, I will discuss with the members and let him rejoin us. There is a legal problem, but I will persuade the production company,Funky Studio,” and reached out to Yu Junwon.
However, Yu Junwon responded without responding to the end, and Funky Studio, which thought that he had no intention of returning, filed a lawsuit against Yu Junwon for 3 billion won in damages. The first hearing date for the damages suit is scheduled to be held on the 27th of next month. Funky Studio said, ” We hope this behavior would never occur again in the K-POP entertainment industry after this case.”
