Since then, he has filed an injunction against Funky Studio, a production company under Pocketdol Studio, to suspend the validity of the exclusive contract.
However, the court rejected Yu Jun-won’s request for provisional injunction. The court judged that most of the contracts Funky Studio presented to Yu were based on the “standard exclusive contract for pop culture artists” announced by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
“If Yu Jun-won comes back before the Tokyo concert after apologizing for his wrongdoings, I will discuss with the members and help him to rejoin the team,” said Kim Kwang-soo, CEO of Pocketdol Studio, in December last year. “There are legal issues, but I will persuade Funky Studio to drop all the lawsuits. I will also pay for the lawyer that they have to pay.
