Yuqi Solo Album, High anticipation from fans!
(G)I-DLE Yuqi is having her solo debut after 6 years of her debut as a group, (G)I-DLE.
The new album “YUQ1” is an album that contains “YUQI” itself, as the name suggests. In particular, the alphabet “I” is expressed as the number “1” among Yuqi’s names, visually expressing her strong confidence in her first album. In particular, she showed off her hot popularity as a solo artist, recording 500,000 copies pre-orders. It shows the high anticipation of fans.
In addition to the title track “FREAK”, “My Way”, “Drink It Up (Feat. pH-1),” “On Clap (Feat. Lexie Liu)”, and “Everytime (With MINNIE ((G)I-DLE)”, she participated in writing and composing five tracks out of seven tracks, enhancing the authenticity and completeness of her first solo album. Listeners’ expectations are high to her participation, because her ability of produce has proved through (G)I-DLE songs such as “i’M THE TREND” and “All Night.”
In particular, the title song “FREAK” will deliver a confident message as a “FREAK” that acknowledges the difference from others by providing powerful vocals to the attractive Bossa rhythm and band sound, and rather confidently digests it with his own personality.
Leading musicians from Korea and abroad participated in the album as features, enhancing the album’s completeness, too. Rapper pH-1 wrote, composed, and featured in the track “Drink It Up (Feat. pH-1),” and “On Clap (Feat. Lexie Liu” was written and featured by singer Lexie Liu. Minnie also contributed by featuring in the track “Everytime (With MINNIE((G)I-DLE).”
Yuqi’s first solo album “YUQ1” will be released on various online music sites at 6 p.m. on 23rd. Offline albums will be available from 24th.
