ZEROBASEONE Japan Sales, top 1 of the Rookies?
Group ZEROBASEONE achieved sales of 1.01 billion yen (about 8.6 billion won) in Japan alone in the first half of this year.
According to Oricon’s “Oricon First Half Ranking 2024” released on its official website on July 3, ZEROBASEONE (Sung Hanbin, Kim Ji Woong, Zhang Hao, Seok Matthew, Kim Taerae, Ricky, Kim Kyuvin, Park Gun Wook, and Han Yujin) ranked second in the rookie sales category by artist.
Aぇ!group was named No. 1 in Japanese idol group, ZEROBASEONE ranked No. 1 in sales as a K-pop artist.
Established in 2018, “Oricon’s First Half Ranking” is rank by adding up the total sales of singles, albums, DVDs, Blu-ray, digital singles, digital albums, and streaming within the annual aggregation period. ZEROBASEONE ranked highest among K-pop artists within the same period.
ZEROBASEONE made a big effect with their debut in Japan. They became a “half million seller” a week after their debut with their first single “ゆらゆら – 運命の” and received the “Double Platinum” certification given by the Recording Industry Association of Japan for works that achieved accumulated shipment of more than 500,000 copies in March.
ZEROBASEONE broke the highest sales volume of any debut single by an overseas artist in its first week of release with “ゆらゆら – 運命の”. The single also topped the Oricon weekly single rankings, weekly combined single rankings, and monthly single rankings.
ZEROBASEONE will participate in Japan’s largest urban music festival “SUMMER SONIC 2024” to be held in Osaka, Japan, on August 17 and Tokyo on the 18th.
