Singer Zico made sure he will take strong legal actions against to malicious rumors.
KOZ Entertainment, Zico’s agency, said on Weverse on the 24th, “We have confirmed that malicious posts and comments such as defamation, insults, and spreading false information have been indiscriminately written about Zico, our artist, in various online communities and social medias.”
“In particular, we judged that strong legal action was urgently needed as malicious rumors and false information dissemination, which were clearly not related to artists, are becoming serious to a level that cannot be overlooked,” the official said. “As a result, we submitted a complaint to the investigative agency by collecting posts and comments from various online communities and social medias, and we will continue to collect malicious posts and receive complaints regularly in the future.”
In addition, the agency added, “We would like to clarify that the recent rumors about artists are also not true, and we would like to say that we will respond strongly to this rumor.”
The agency said, “We will continue to take stern measures against malicious writers based on fan reports and evidence collected through self-monitoring to protect the rights and interests of artists, and we will hold them accountable until the end even if it takes time,” adding, “In any case, there is no agreement with leniency.”
Finally, KOZ Entertainment asked, “If you find malicious posts or illegal cases related to artists, please actively report them to KOZ Entertainment’s legal response official account.”
